Acting for clients in the energy industry, Greg Johnson's practice focuses on corporate tax, corporate reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions and private equity.

He is also a chartered accountant who practised with an international accounting firm before joining Bennett Jones.

Greg is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta, a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation, a director of the Canadian Petroleum Tax Society and an editor of the Federated Press Canadian Resource Taxation journal.

Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners (MSIP), as Canadian counsel, in MSIP's acquisition of a 47.5% interest in the Greenlight Electricity Centre, a C$4.6-billion,932 MW combined-cycle power generation project in Alberta set to power a landmark C$13 billion data centre development being advanced by Meta Platforms.  The Centre is co-owned by MSIP with Pembina Pipeline Corporation (47.5%) and Kineticor Asset Management (5%).
Plains All American Pipeline in its C$5.3-billion sale of its NGL business to Keyera
North Hudson Resource Partners in its acquisition of HWN Energy and related debt financing
Riverstone VI LRC, a major shareholder of Lithium Royalty, in its sale of all of the outstanding shares of LRC to Altius Minerals pursuant to a plan of arrangement
