Tinashe earned his Juris Doctor from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia. Prior to law school, Tinashe completed a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance, with distinction, from the University of Alberta. Throughout his legal studies at the University of British Columbia, Tinashe interned at the British Columbia Securities Commission for almost two years, served as co-president of the Black Law Students’ Association, chaired the Law Career Services Office Advisory Committee, and worked as assistant business manager of the University of British Columbia Law Review. Prior to his legal studies, Tinashe worked for Deloitte Canada, Sysco Canada, and Employment and Social Development Canada, which helped develop his skills in business analysis and public sector service delivery. Tinashe is actively involved in his community through academic and mentorship initiatives and has been recognized with awards including the Deloitte Canada Bloom Scholarship, CPA Education Foundation New Canadian Achievement Award, and the BBPA BMO Scholarship.
